After establishing its Greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions baseline, the Group focused on reducing its Scope 2 emissions. PropertyGuru has achieved net-zero for its direct operations through renewable energy purchases.

The Group has moved to more energy-efficient cloud solutions, recognising that its data infrastructure contributes significantly to energy usage. This shift reduces the carbon footprint of its platforms and further advances its decarbonisation efforts.

Redefining Property Searches with Inclusivity at the Core

Everyone deserves a place to call home. Yet discrimination continues to be a barrier for many property seekers in the rental market. One in four individuals in Singapore has faced racial bias when searching for a rental property. While multiculturalism is widely embraced, unconscious bias and stereotypes still influence rental opportunities, particularly in private housing.

PropertyGuru introduced the ‘Everyone Welcome’ feature on its Singapore marketplace in December 2024 — a tag highlighting rental listings where landlords are open to tenants of all races, genders, religions, and sexual orientations. The initiative supports property seekers with a discrimination-free experience,

while encouraging agents and landlords to embrace diversity and inclusive practices. Today, one in four rental listings on PropertyGuru Singapore are tagged as ‘Everyone Welcome’, making it easier to find diversity-friendly homes.

This is part of PropertyGuru’s broader, ongoing effort to create a fairer property market. In addition to the feature, the Group enforces comprehensive listing creation guidelines, uses a language moderation tool to detect discriminatory content on its marketplace, and provides seekers with a reporting mechanism to flag discrimination.

Through these combined efforts, PropertyGuru is helping to break down barriers and build a more inclusive housing journey where everyone can find a place to call home and feel welcome.

Equipping Property Stakeholders with the Tools to Make Sustainable Choices

Demand for more conscious living grows in Singapore, with 72% of consumers interested in buying sustainable homes and 68% willing to pay a premium for sustainable and eco-friendly features, according to a survey conducted by PropertyGuru in 2024.

At the forefront of embedding sustainability into the property search journey, PropertyGuru launched Green Score in 2021 to help Singapore users easily identify homes with eco-friendly features. Since its introduction, the Green Score has become a trusted indicator of greener choices for 63% of property seekers, empowering more informed and environmentally conscious decisions.

Building on this continued interest from property seekers, PropertyGuru recently introduced a Sustainable Living filter in Thailand to highlight homes with eco-friendly features like solar panels and Electric Vehicle (EV) charging stations. This addresses consumer demand for greener living options: 90% of Thai property seekers are interested in sustainable homes, with 93% willing to pay a premium for them.

Beyond these solutions, PropertyGuru provided data-driven insights—including climate risk analytics and historical disaster information—to help real estate stakeholders navigate future climate risks and future-proof properties, as well as drive the creation of resilient, sustainable cities.

» PropertyGuru’s Sustainability Report 2024 Charts Progress on Inclusive Listings, Sustainable Living Choices, and Decarbonisation

[2,28,27
63,61
post-2961","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-business-news","category-environmental","category-esg","tag-decarbonisation","tag-sustainability
["GET
