AIS, a leading Thai telecom provider, is launching a major push to transform small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) across Thailand with its new AIS Infinite SMEs program. The initiative aims to equip businesses with critical digital skills, robust infrastructure, and expanded market access, driving them towards international standards and sustainable growth.
“We’ve been laying the foundation for digital transformation in Thailand for over 15 years,” said Somchai Lertsutiwong, CEO of AIS. “AIS Infinite SMEs is our next step to unlock limitless growth for Thai businesses, helping them soar to international standards.”
The program is built on a “3S Strategy”: Skill, providing digital know-how; System, strengthening back-end infrastructure; and Soar, expanding opportunities through certified systems like ISO standards.
At its core, AIS Infinite SMEs focuses on “Transformation and Standardization.” This includes:
Infinite Skills: Offering practical online courses in IT, marketing, and entrepreneurship through AIS Academy, certified under ISO 30401 for knowledge management.
International Standards: Collaborating with the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI) and depa to promote ISO 29110, a specialized standard for software SMEs. The initiative also introduces Thailand’s first ISO Marketplace for SMEs.
Infinite Scales: A “Transformative Infinite SME” program supports both scaling businesses and next-generation family business leaders, partnering with institutions like the Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) and the mai Listed Company Association (maiA).
“SMEs are the backbone of our economy,” said Apichit Prasoprat, Vice Chairman of the Federation of Thai Industries. “Strengthening them is essential for long-term adaptability and growth amidst global challenges like ESG trends.” FTI is working with AIS to promote international certifications and uplift industrial SMEs.
Lertsutiwong concluded, “AIS Infinite SMEs is about energizing and empowering Thai SMEs, connecting every opportunity to create a stronger, more stable Thai economy.”
